Me and my friend Ksenia, who has unfortunately deactivated her DA account, tried to picture a characted of Slavic mythology - drowned girl or "утопленница", how it sounds in Russian. According to the myths, girls, that commited suicide by drowning in the river, turn to these creatures.
Nightmare? Yeah, I'd think I was in a nightmare if I woke up blind up to my ass in freezing water. I would be doing the same thing. And I did not know that about slavic mythology.
Well, yeah. I don't know a lot about slavic mythology, except that some of the original vampire myths started there. Not that I don't care I just didn't get around to it. Me being from USA shouldn't bar me from knowing something-we do like to sometimes look into other people's mythologies they are the predecessor's to today's movies, especially epics, super heroes and horror. I'm not sure how to take that. An insult? Well, Americans are annoyed with other Americans, too. Although I will say, the transition from mythology to entertainment there's usually a lot of fudging involved. But I think in the past few years some Americans still have a respect learning from the original. The water? That was only a joke. I mean't no disrespect.
